DEC. 17TH - HISTORY IN THE MAKING Albany Patroons 127 NYCIZ 103

In what was probably one of the most exciting exhibition pre-game matchups Semi-Pro Basketball has ever seen... The CBA- Albany, NY Patroons took on the New York City Internationalz in a battle of wills for the Greater New York. This game, with many to follow is looking like History In The Making, as the first ever ABA VS CBA- GREATER NY Rivalry begins to build... You could feel the tension between both teams as NYC entered the building, the warm smiles and hospitality weren't indicative of the crowd, there to see their home team-with Jamario Moon Jerseys being worn amongst the crowd (Moon, currently in the NBA playing for the Toronto Raptors); The support these fans have for the many historical CBA Athletes and Coaches that have gone on to the NBA is the real reason why the CBA is one of the best Leagues in Semi-Professional basketball today.
This pre-game exhibition will be the first of many battles against these two NY teams as the NYC Internationalz will play their Inaugural Season Game Opener against the CBA - Albany Patroons on Saturday December 27 in Albany at the Armory- and this time its for the records folks!
As the anticipation draws thin... the NYC Internationalz will be playing their Inaugural Home Game On January 4th 2009 in Queens at Monsignor McClancy HS- currently being used as one of many venues as the Internationalz are familiarizing New Yorkers with THE BEST Semi-Professional Basketball in the World, where it all starts- here in New York City.
